Undergraduate Research Guide: School Prayer

Return to listing of all Research Guides.

Scope

The movement to permit voluntary prayer in public schools continues to arouse public debate. Opposition is based on the belief that prayer in public schools violates the principle of the separation of church and state, and that voluntary prayer cannot remain voluntary if students feel pressure to participate. The following is a guide to resources in College Library discussing the debate on prayer in public schools.
