Study Rooms

Overview

There are 7 group study rooms at College Library. Each room is a privately enclosed space, allowing for groups to work together without disturbing other library patrons. Library patrons can use any of these rooms to study in groups or to work collaboratively on projects.

Reservations

Reservations for the group study rooms can be made online at http://studyrooms.library.wisc.edu.

Note the policies section for how long you can reserve a room.

Policies & Practices

  • Reservations are limited to 4 hours total per person per room per week. If a group wants the same room longer than that, another individual from that group must make the reservation.
  • A group that is more than 15 minutes late forfeits the reservation.
  • An individual can use a group study room, but only as a walk-up if no reservation is currently in place for that room. Patrons should not reserve a group study room for individual study.
  • Although the group study room is a more private space, sound can leak through the walls. Please keep the noise down so as not to disturb others.
  • Food and drink are allowed provided that they are not messy. Clean up the room before you leave so that it is ready for the next group.
  • Study rooms are only available during hours the library is open.
