The CaféThe Open Book Café is a great place to pick up a latte, a muffin and run. Or, stay awhile and enjoy the Lake Mendota scenery, study with friends, check email, and browse our expanding collection of popular books, books on CD, DVDs, and video games. The Café offers a complete line of fresh-brewed and speciality coffees, fruit juices, and other popular beverages, as well as a variety of bakery items. Internet AccessA bank of computers next to the café area makes it easy for students to quickly check their email or get information from the web. Laptop hookups as well as wireless is also available throughout the room for students who want to connect to the Internet. |

Study SpaceThe study space features new custom-made tables, chairs and comfortable seating designed by Agati, a Chicago based company. The Open Book Café is a great place for groups to meet for study and socializing, and for individuals to read and relax in a friendly and attractive environment. The Open Book CollectionThe Open Book Collection is an integral part of the café space, providing a casual "bookstore within a café" environment. The collection invites students to escape from studying (if only for a little while...) to enjoy the comforts of a good book. The Open Book Collection is continually being expanded to include the latest general fiction, mystery, and science fiction bestsellers. Other subjects featured in the collection include hobbies, entertainment, self-help, travel, and sports and fitness. The over 700 DVDs include feature films, live concerts, and award winning documentaries. If you don't see what you want, drop us a note in our suggestion box! |
