Newspapers - Advertisements
AdQuest -- Classified ads collected from publications throughout the United States. Information updated daily. Indexes several Wisconsin newspapers.
NewspaperLinks -- Newspaper Association of America -- Gateway to U.S. & Foreign newspapers. Many newspapers publish their employment advertisements online.
News Sources -- under "Worldwide News Collections" and "Selected U.S. News Sites" there are links to newspaper sites in the United States and around the world.
Telephone Directories
Telephone Directories on the Web -- Directory of telephone number webpages. Directories for toll free and yellow page listings of businesses in the U.S. and internationally.
SuperPages -- gives names, addresses, telephone numbers of thousands of businesses throughout the country.
Check Memorial Library or the State Historical Society Library for a specific city's telephone directory yellow pages. Look under subjects for the names and addresses of companies and government employment offices. Request an application, send a letter of application and resume, or just call and inquire about job openings.Jobs sites for Recent Graduates
JobWeb -- gives job listings for recent college graduates. Monster.com -- select state, then city. Lists thousands of jobs in each state.
Wisconsin JobNet Job Search -- contains current job opportunities listed by Wisconsin and Mid-West employers.
WISCareers -- The Job Seeking section lists job openings by occupation. You can narrow your search to a specific state. This site is provided by the UW-Madison School of Education Center on Education and Work.

America's Job Bank -- Dept. of Labor and the U.S. Employment Service -- provides links to 1,800 state employment services offices in the U.S.
